Plum cake with caramel syrup

Ingredients:
       Maida/All purpose flour - 2 1/2
       Powdered sugar - 1 1/2 cup
       Butter - 1/2 cup ( room temperature )
       Egg  - 3
       Dried cherries - 1 cup
       Raisins/Dry black grapes/Black currants/Cranberries - 1/2 cup (can be mixed fruits)
       Cashews/Walnuts - 1/4 cup ( crushed )
       Almonds - 1/4 cup (crushed )
       Orange zest/Orange peel - 3 tbsp
       Orange juice - 1/2 cup
       Cocoa powder - 4 tbsp
       Baking powder - 1 tsp
       Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
       Salt - 1/2 tsp
       Sugar - 1/4 cup ( for caramel syrup )
       Milk - to dilute the cake mixture - 3 to 4 tbsp

Method:
       In a box, add orange zest,orange juice,cherries,cocoa powder and raisins, mix well. Close the box and put into refrigerator for 3 days.
       After 3 days start to make cake.
       Make cake pan to ready with non-stick spray or with butter, and put the wax paper on the cake pan.
       Mix the flour and baking powder with whisk. We can add 2 cups of all purpose flour and 1/2 cup of wheat flour too.
       In a empty pan add sugar, let it in medium flame. Slowly it will start to caramelize. Once all the sugar turns to a brown sugar syrup add 1/2 cup of water, let it cool.
       Preheat the oven to 350 degree F.
       In a big bowl add eggs add mix with the hand mixer, then add sugar and mix well,and add the caramel syrup and mix. Now add the flour and baking powder into the egg mixture. After that add the soaked dry fruit mixture and milk into the batter, mix well. Pour the batter into a cake pan. Bake it for 50 to 60 minutes. After 50 minutes,take the cake out, insert the tooth pick into the cake, if the tooth pick comes clean, cake is ready. Let it cool for 2 hours and cut into a slices.
