Sivagangai chicken curry

Ingredients:

Chicken - 1 pound or 1/2 kg
Onion - 1 (chopped)
Tomato - 1 (chopped)
Green chillies - 2
Chilly powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
cinnamon 1 stick
Cloves - 4
poppy seeds or kasa kasa - 1 tsp
Ginger - 1 inch
Garlic - 5 pods
coriander leaves or cilantro - 1 hand full
coconut - 3 tbsp
Fennal seeds - 1 tsp
Pepper - 1/2 tsp
Cummin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Salt

Method:

First cut the chicken and clean 3 to 4 times , then add 1/2 tsp of salt and turmeric powder mix well, let them soak for 1/2 an hour.




In a pan heat oil , then add pepper,cummin,fennal,cinnamon,cloves, kasa kasa and fry them , then add onions fry well. After frying onions add ginger , garlic, tomato , coriander leaves , green chillies and coconut fry well. Let them cool for 15 minitues. Then grind as a fine paste. Heat a pan add oil and add marinated chicken , fry well then add grinded paste mix well. Now add chilly powder , coriander powder and salt. Add some water mix well , let them to cook untill the gravy became thick and the chicken cooked. It is good to go with rice.
