Chicken Kurma

Ingredients:
           Chicken thighs with bone - 1 pound or 450 grams
           Onion - 1/2 ( chopped )
           Tomato - 1 ( chopped )
           Potato - 1 ( peeled and chopped )
           Kuzhambu podi - 2 tbsp
           Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
           Tamarind - small piece soaked in water
           Curry leaves
           Salt
           Oil
For the paste:
           Coconut - 1/4 cup
           Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
           Pepper - 1/2 tsp
           Ginger - 1inch piece
           Garlic - 4 pods
           Cloves - 2
           Cinnamon - 1 piece
           Fennal seeds - 1 tsp
Method:

           Cut and clean the chicken. In a mixer grinder add all the ingredients for the paste and grind it. In a pressure cooker add oil, let it heat. Add the onion, tomato, potato, Curry leaves, chicken, kuzhambu podi,turmeric powder and mix well. Then add the grinded paste, salt and tamarind water and mix it. Close the cooker and cook it till 4 to 5 whistles come. Serve with rice,chapathi,dosa or idly.
