kavuni arisi

This recipe is from chettinadu cuisine. It is very easy to make. Good desert with less ingredients and very good for health.

Ingredients:

Kavuni arisi/Black forbidden rice - 1 cup ( soaked for 2 hours )
Sugar - 1 cup to 1 1/2 cups
Coconut - 1/2 cup ( grated )
Salt - 1/2 tsp

Method:

Wash the soaked rice at least for 3 times. In a pressure cooker take the rice, add 3 cups of water and cook it till 6 whistles come. Once cooker came to cool open the lid, add the grated coconut, salt and sugar. Mix well till the sugar dissolves.
