Mutton Kuzhambu

Ingredients:

         Lamb or Goat - 1 lb
         Potato - 1 (cubed as big size)
         Onion - 1
         Tomato - 1
         Tamarind - a small cherry size (soak in water and extract the juice)
         Coconut grated - 1/2 cup
         Fennal seeds - 1 tsp
         Pepper - 1/2 tsp
         Cummin seeds - 1/2 tsp
         Garlic - 5 cloves
         Ginger - 1 inch
         Cinnamon - 1 stick
         Cloves - 2
         Chilly powder - 1 tsp
         Coriender powder - 1 tsp
         Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
         Curry leaves
         Salt
         Oil

Method:
      
         Clean and cut the lamb meat. Crush the ginger and garlic , add into the cleaned lamb and cook with adding little water and turmeric powder , in the pressure cooker. Mostly we need five whistle to cook the lamb. Let them cool.







                                         


                                  


     In the mixee add fennal seeds, cumminseeds, pepper, garlic, coconut, cinnamon stick, cloves and grind as a fine paste. In the same cooker add oil and let them to heat. When the oil heated add fennal seeds and curry leaves, then add chopped onion and fry, then add chopped tomato and potato and fry untill tomato softened. Then add the cooked mutton with whole cooked turmeric water. Thiss is the time to add grinded paste and add chilly powder , coriander powder , tamarind paste and salt. Then close the cooker with lid and cook it untill 4 whistle comes out. Now the mutton kuzhambu is ready. I used lamb meat in this kuzhambu , we can use goat also. Serve with hot idly or rice.
