Ingredients:
Arisi mavu / rice flour - 1 cup
Vellam / jaggery - 1/2 cup
Black sesame seeds - 2 tsp
Salt
Coconut - 1/4 cup ( chopped )
Cardamom seeds - 2 ( powdered )
Method:
In a pan add rice flour, fry till the raw flavor go away. This procedure is for store bought rice flour only . If we are making the flour at home, directly we can use. Dry roast the sesame seeds too. Take a bowl add the flour,sesame seeds, salt,coconut and cardamom. Mix well. In a sauce pan heat the water, add jaggery, once all are melted, filter the jaggery. Put this water into the rice flour mixture. Knead the dough. Take a small amount of flour put in between four fingers, give a impression. Heat the idly pot with water, cook all the prepared kozhukattai. It will take 15 minutes to cook.
