Ingredients:
Kadalai paruppu/Channa dhal - 1cup
Thuvaram paruppu/Toor dhal - 1/4 cup
Onion - 1/2 (chopped)
Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup (chopped)
Curry leaves - 5 leaves (chopped)
Ginger - 1 inch size
Garlic - 2 pods
Fennal seeds/Sombu - 1 tbsp
Red chili - 4 to 5
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt
Oil
Method:
Wash and soak the dhal in the water for 2 hours. After 2 hours, drain the water. In the mixer grinder add red chili, fennel, ginger and garlic, now add the drained dhal and turmeric powder, grind it like a coarse paste.
In this dhal mixture add chopped coriander leaves, curry leaves and onions, mix well. Take a small ball from the mixture, make it like a vadai shape, fry them into the hot oil. Cook them in the medium fire, until it became crispy. Hot vadai is ready to eat.
