Thakkali or tomato soup

Ingredients:
      Tomato - 3 ( medium sized )
      Onion - 1/2 of the one big onion
      Green chillies - 4 ( halved )
      Sambhar podi - 1/2 tsp
      garlic - 3 pods ( mashed )
      Cinnamon stick - 1
      Cloves - 4
      Fennel seeds 1/2 tsp
      Toor dhal or thuvaram paruppu ( cooked ) - 2 tsp
      kazhaneer or water which is from soaked rice - 1 cup
      Curry leaves
      Coriander leaves or cilantro

Method:
       Cut the onion and tomatoes. In a cooker add oil , then add fennel seeds,cinnamon, cloves,  mashed garlic and curry leaves stir well. Then add onion,green chillies and tomato , mash well ,  add dhal ,sambhar powder and salt stir well. Cover the cooker and let it for 3 whistles. The soup is ready . It is very good to eat with rice. Potato fry is a good side for this soup.
