Ingredients:
Wheat flour - 1 cup
Coconut - 1/2 cup (grated)
Sugar
Salt
Water
Method:
First, dry roast the wheat flour in a medium flame until nice aroma comes. Let it cool for sometime. Add salt and mix well. Now add water slowly and mix with hands until it become like a crumbs. Then blend the flour mixture in the blender to get perfect puttu consistency. Take water in the idlypot and let it boil, put the idly plate inside the pot. Take a square shape cotton cloth and make it wet put the cloth on the top of the idly plate. Now time to place the prepared puttu flour on the cloth, close the idlypot with lid cook for 10 to 15 minutes. Transfer the cooked puttu into the big bowl, add sugar and coconut, mix well when it is hot. Ready to serve. We can also make wheat puttu with the puttu maker too.
