Ingredients:
Rice flour - 2 cups
Fried gram flour/pottukadalai mavu - 1/2 cup
Cumin seeds - 1 tbsp
Asafoetida/Perungaya powder - 1 tsp
Butter - 2 tbsp (melted)
Salt
Oil
Method:
First take 1/2 cup of the fried gram dhal and grind it as a fine powder.
In a bowl, take rice flour, fried gram flour, cumin seeds, asafoetida powder and salt, mix well with the hands.
Add the melted butter mix well, start to add water, little by little, make a soft dough. Take a frying pan add oil, let it heat. In the meanwhile, take murukku maker, fill it with the dough. Start making murukku directly in the hot oil. Once the bubbles stopped coming from the oil, take out the murukku. Let it cool and store in the airtight container.
