Ingredients:
Tomatoes - 3 to 4
Carrot - 1 (medium size, grated)
Uzhuntham paruppu/Urad dhal - 2 tbsp
Coriander seeds/ Dhania - 2 tbsp
Red chilies - 4 to 5
Tamarind - small ball
Salt
Oil
For tempering - Mustard seeds, urad dhal and curry leaves.
Method:
In a pan add oil, once oil started heating add urad dhal, let it fry until golden color come. Add coriander seeds, red chilies, tamarind, carrot and tomatoes, saute well. Let it cool completely. Grind this mixture as a coarse paste. Finally add the tempering on the top of the chutney. Serve with idly or dosa.
